Welcome to Sedgefield CC
Sedgefield Cricket Club is situated on the edge of the village adjacent to parkland and close to the National Hunt Racecourse.
Cricket has been played at the Station Road Ground for over 100 years and at present there are three senior teams playing league cricket in the ECB North Yorkshire and South Durham Premier League, widely regarded as one of the best amateur leagues in the country.
The 2012 season was very successful with the 1st XI retaining their place in the top flight Premier Division, the 2nd XI winning division 3 and promotion and the 3rd XI winning promotion to Sunday Division 1.
There is a very active junior section with four age groups playing league cricket, U11, U13, U15 & U17.
Sedgefield Cricket Club is an ECB 'Focus Club' and has successfully been awarded 'ECB Clubmark Accreditation' which is a Sport England Clubmark status to confirm that Sedgefield is a safe, effective and child-friendly club.
During the past ten years the senior teams have each won their respective league titles and have been successful in numerous cup competitions. The under 13's and 15's each won their regional leagues in successive seasons and the under 13's have won the District Floodlit Competition twice in the past ten years.
The club's ground and clubhouse facilities have made it an attractive venue for touring sides and other organisations.
Our clubhouse is open all year round, on selected evenings and Sunday lunchtime, and hosts a wide range of activities including live music, quizzes, barbecues and other social events. The clubhouse is available to hire for functions and is an extremely popular venue.
