Sedgefield Cricket Club is situated on the edge of the village adjacent to parkland and close to the National Hunt Racecourse. Cricket has been played at the Station Road Ground for over 100 years and at present there are two senior teams playing league cricket in the North Yorkshire and South Durham League. There is a very active junior section with four age groups playing league cricket. Sedgefield Cricket Club is an ECB 'Focus Club' and has successfully been awarded 'ECB Clubmark Accreditation' which is a Sport England Clubmark status to confirm that Sedgefield is a safe, effective and child-friendly club.

The club's ground and facilities have made it an attractive venue for touring sides and other organisations. Our clubhouse is open all year round and hosts a wide range of activities including live music, quizzes, barbecues and other social events. If you want to come and play, or watch a good standard of cricket at our lovely ground, click on 'About Us'.
